  • The IRB 14000 Dual-Arm YuMi

    ABB's agile and compact dual-arm YuMi easily fits into existing lines. Due to its inherently safe design and human-like dimensions and movements, YuMi can increase productivity, while safely working alongside humans.

    Introduced in 2015, the Dual-Arm YuMi was the first ABB cobot. The YuMi robots provide flexibility and scalability to businesses of all sizes, so you can meet the challenges of high-mix, low-volume production safely. If an unexpected impact occurs, such as a collision with a coworker, YuMi can pause its motion within milliseconds, and the motion can be restarted again as easily as pressing play on a remote control. 

    There is no specialized training required. Wizard Easy Programming, a graphical programming method, reduces barriers for first-time users.

  • The IRB 14050 Single-Arm YuMi

    Single-Arm YuMi is compact and lightweight (9.5kg) and supports mounting in any direction including ceiling, table and wall mounting. 

    Introduced in 2018, the Single-Arm YuMi affords businesses, including hospitals, the flexibilty to process a wide variety of sample types, sizes and weights compared to other systems.

    Designed to work alongside medical staff and lab workers safely, ABB has adapted the machine tending technology - refined in a variety of other industries to provide valueable robotic automation in a medical laboratory setting. 

    Collaborative robotics removes skilled staff from the repeititive manual loading duties and allows them to focus on more hightly skilled responsibilities - creating a more efficient production environment.
