Safety is a top priority for ABB’s HVAC drives and motors, thanks to the smart emergency override mode
As an ‘in-case-of’ feature that will hopefully never be needed, safety is built into ABB’s HVAC drives via the fire override mode functionality.
This means in an emergency the override switch keeps VSDs running longer than normal drives and allows fire response teams to rapidly control fans for smoke extraction on escape routes.
This increases people safety, minimizes fire damage and makes design easier.
