Motion Detected! Welcome Nicolas Durand to Robotics Canada
We are pleased to announce that Nicolas Durand has been appointed General Manager, ABB Robotics Canada. Nicolas replaces Niclas Sjöstrand who is returning to ABB Sweden to pursue a new opportunity. Nicolas joined ABB in 2017 as Director of Sales for ABB Motion Canada. Nicolas will be based in Brampton, Ontario. Congratulations to Nicolas and wishing him many great successes as he leads Robotics Canada towards continued innovation in robotics and automation!

For the past 2 years, a Canadian ABB Robotics Value Provider has been the recipient of the Americas Most Innovative Solution Award.
In 2020, Brave Control Solutions made history as the first Canadian company to be awarded this recognition. Their efforts continues to bring innovative automation solutions to the construction industry, addressing the shortage of skilled labour, growing output demands, and quality assurance.
Radian Robotics, another proud Canadian company, was the 2021 recipient for the Americas Most Innovative Solution. Their team developed applications to help bring automation to the wood production industry. Their robot applications including end sealing (board wrapping, nailing), laser inspection, dunnage placement, and labeling, are now enabling increased efficiency and profit in the forestry industry across North America.

ABB has launched ‘ABB Robotic Depalletizer’, a solution for handling complex depalletizing tasks in the logistics, e-commerce, healthcare, and consumer packaged goods industries.
