Energy efficiency Fuses generate heat when working in powered-on electrical networks 24/7. This parameter is called power losses. ABB CEF fuses have very low value of losses – 10% lower vs. the average market values. Moreover, thanks to special design of the current path (overload spots) the customer has granted safer installation due to up-to 50% lower temperature generated during the interruption. Installation safety gets combined with energy efficiency. |
Reliability ABB CEF series IEC fuses design supports application in both indoor and outdoor conditions, remaining waterproof even after the striker pin operates. When the temperature around fuses rises above safety levels the fuse initiate circuit interruption to protect the installation place. Silver coated contacts withstand high humidity and harsh conditions according to ISO 6988. A reliable design for wide range of applications. |
Continuous operation As main and/or back-up proction apparatus, fuses must be ready for constant immediate reaction. The design of ABB IEC fuses fully supports this requirement - the welded current path keeps current conductivity and the pure silver melting tape remain ready to interrupt overload currents throughout the product lifetime. Long installation lifetime and operational piece of mind. |
